Fashion month might be over but the style and tips continue! This past New York Fashion Week AVEDA took us backstage to see the get-ready magic(really lots of hard work) unravel at the TOME Fall/Winter 2017 show celebrating confident, strong women--this encompasses the woman, clothes, makeup, and hair. AVEDA was in charge of hair and us, well, trying not to get in the way(it gets quite busy) and intaking any tips that can assist with real life hair situations--knowing how to work with texture is definitely one of them. TOME's aimed mantra is inclusivity of every woman. This includes catering to a diversity of hair textures whom were led by AVEDA Hair Artist Antoinette Beenders for this season's show. The inspiration behind the hair care and styling was aligned with the collection; celebration of confident, strong women. So it would only be appropriate to work the natural power of hair and the key to achieve this is moisture retention. Antoinette began by spraying the hair with water and then applied AVEDA's Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizer to add instant moisture and bring hair back to life. Now to create a super sleek, healthy style as seen on the models, she used the Damage Remedy Split End Repair on the ends right before blow drying--this will seal-in the product and instantly repair ends. The styles were then set with Air Control Light Hold Hair Spray featuring the Pure-Fume aroma with certified organic lavender, bergamot and palmarosa. Written by Mariana Aguilera
