Etro definitely is bringing something less uniformed and more free-spirited this spring/summer 2014. And, we love it!
Now that the fashion month is over, we set out to pick that one favorite collection for spring/summer 2014. With all due respect to the bosses of design(Valentino, Chanel, Elie Saab and friends), we chose Etro to be our favorite collection this Spring/Summer 2014 season!
At our first glanced Etro's collection looks like a collaboration of scarves doing a marvelous job, but as we took a closer look, it's a symphony of paisleys. We love its fresh modest appeal, serenity and realism. The drama is in its print collage and it makes us dose off to an island. The scarves around the neck accentuate and merge right into the rest of the design assimilating one whole piece. Now how will this work-out in real life? We don't anticipate any complications. Although, dressing in print from head-to-toe can take some training, but the key is to keep it within the family of hues. And, what is to be said about the 'Marsha' hair style? A little too cool four our taste, but it definitely rounds-up the look by giving it a youthful taste, so we shall try that too--cautiously, that is. Lastly, the accessories and shoes, we admire how given pieces can actually break the print from the outside.
Although we would love to feel and look like princesses all day long with Elie Saab and Valentino, this summer we rather dream of sitting on a Island, drinking coconut water dressed in paisleys prints from 40's and listening to nothing but the waves. What was your favorite collection?
