9/9/2015 Comments The One Item You need To Make Your Summer Dresses Chill Weather Ready [ featuring FRINGADINE ]We really have had enough of this hot and humid New York weather! So much so, we said our last goodbyes this past Saturday on a trip to Upstate New York during a row boat moment where the sun was beaming hot on our faces. Sadly and happily, be gone Summer! If you follow fashion, you know well that the 70's are not dying with Summer, they are giving life to Fall and Winter--we couldn't be happier! The one item you need to invest in, if you don't have it in your closet--which I am almost sure you do because it's already an essential piece for us modest dressing ladies and which will be a big hit this Fall and Winter is the 'turtleneck'! Yup, seen throughout the Fall/Winter 2015-16 collections. BCBG Max Azria has these funnel knit neck pieces that can be very useful on those semi-cool days and a nice alternative to the full 'turtleneck' top. They pop in and out--are you thinking heat crazy office days?; because we can see that working out well! The turtleneck this season is being sported as a layering piece--we modest people are masters at that, we got this! You can get some inspiration and/or the pieces themselves from collections such as Banana Republic or your favorite brand. In other instances, the turtleneck was styled as a stand alone piece like in the Alice + Olivia collection. In whatever way it tickles your fancy, turtlenecks will be the 'it' item this coming season. Get 'em! Aside turtlenecks, we are also feeling faux fur details and tiny purses--more 70's hits! Another added benefit of turtleneck layering, it get rids of a sweater; we can deal with that! For the sake of being visual, we added some of our favorite Fall accessories to the star of the show; the turtleneck--to take our French delicate white boho Summer dress from Fringadine to be chill weather ready and listo! For footwear, we recommend midi boots, these too will be a popular item for Fall and Winter. We're now ready for some Cinnamon Spiced Coffee with Coconut Milk--it's a real thing, see the recipe here. Now, just waiting on those crunchy Fall leaves! Styling and photography in collaboration with Studio MIYA Photography Written by Mariana
