Upon entering the space to see the 90 year old premium Furla Spring/Summer 2017 collection in Manhattan, we rapidly forgot the concrete jungle we had come from. Instead, we were transported to a greeting of hanging greenery and wild eyes on handbags staring dead at us. We didn't feel like being a meal, so we petted the furry details.
Furla who is family-owned and looking to go public in 2017 just did something quite wild recently aside coveted handbags. They are putting the well-being of its employees first by creating a special human resource program where they plan to be sensitive to their employees cultural backgrounds, and prioritize their education, healthcare, insurance coverage and time off work. Now, that's wild!
The collection was inspired by travel and experience. More of that please! Furla collaborated with fashion illustrator Domenico Principato for its print designs. Now, of something can mark the history of Furla, it's their act of digging-up an old weaving machinery from their warehouse and using it to create some of its new pieces.
Here's something fun--inflatable handbags in hues of gold, pink, orange, white and yellow. We're attracted to the gold one. Furla then takes us further across the globe, the lace design handbags reminded us of henna designs and beading on the interchangeable flaps are striking! Indeed, it's a collection that bridges methods and worlds together in a light and fun manner. Yes, that's what Spring and Summer should be about--exploring and experiencing. Now, what's left is to choose your inner wild. Arrr!
