Greetings New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015! The surge of creativity has begun at all levels of the creative sphere. The first to capture our thoughts was Josie Natori and as how the charismatic Ms. Vreeland would have advised--made the eye travel to Turkey. Those gold intricate accents and cozy wraps shouldn't be a problem in our wardrobe next fall.
Ok, take a step back--grey has just been elevated. Tomas Maier converts this hue to a desirable belted comfort chic. We love it in the skirt but maybe even more in the suit form. Do also note the wide headbands--a total match to the tall boots and what seems an extension of the 70's trend vibe that Spring/Summer is bringing.
Do you know who comes to mind when looking through Lisa Perry's collection? For some reason Nicole Richie. We've seen her play with color as well with demure hemlines. The collection brings burst of colors in a time the sun is not in the mood to come out and play, well, at least in the East coast. What is to be said about the circular cut-out dress--we'll leave that for your deep understanding! We love the overall bold statement with groovy vibes--because that should be the sentiment to live by.
There is gold dripping and than there is scarf dripping--we are definitely marking that piece in our cold weather wardrobe! We think you should too. The entire Hellesy collection revolves around a mix of knit comfort, smooth facades of elegant silk and furry touches. Our crush for Hellesy is moving to the next phase of admiration--its clothing is present in the 'now' for the contemporary woman who's in her own rhythm of life.
Just when we thought we had the skill of layering mastered comes Organic by John Patrick. Our eye is fixated on the key player which happens to be in our eyes the turtle neck. The second thing we are enjoying are the mix of hues and that side swept bang of hair. Although not pictured, we definitely have an eye for the sleeveless trench--an essential keeper. Are you old enough to remember metal-toe shoes? The entire collection is a very 'real' wardrobe party waiting to happen.
Dress us in Tess Giberson and were set to take the Artic! Let's see where do we start? Yes! with the over-the-top knitted scarf--will sign that one up too along with that long furry vest! Throughout the collection, we are looking at extremes in terms of colors--black and white mainly, but we're ok with that! If you are looking to do all Winter lights in one shot, Tess Giberson can definitely show you the way with its varying textures and tones--that's key! On a side note--that hair! Unwashed look and bit primitive looking--what do you think of it? We like the non complicated length.
