This is why New York is loved! The minds have a sense of freedom, our imagination is the limit and New York Fashion Week is its wild playground. A week the spirits are high on creativity and in search of heart calling designs like those of Heart and Noble. A jewelry line with an aesthetic that sets-off a new sense of dimensional jewelry inspiration. The day was a delicious sunny one at Flat 128, a British luxury lifestyle store--the locale Heart and Noble showcased their Croma Spring/Summer 2015 collection this past New York Fashion Week season. If you are still dazzled and in a bit of confusion as to the design of the pieces, you can calm down now because that's exactly what you are to feel and the reason I personally like this design concept. It is daring, playful and makes your mind skip a thought. It takes you out of your comfort zone and darling that's where the fun starts.
Heart and Noble is luxury jewelry brand based in London and New York and its designer is Christina Gabriele, a luxury jeweler expert, who single crafts every piece in a fusion of dimensions, style and technology. The inspiration behind her brand is industrial design in particular cable ties which are clearly stated in the structure and pattern of her Croma collection. A collection that extends from her last Acrylic Cable Tie Fall/Winter 2014 Collection. The androgynous black, white and translucent pieces showcased were also made out of acrylic in forms of rings, bracelets and necklaces in both usual and unique forms. Your next question is probably--ok, so how do you wear such dimensional piece? I thought the same and although I didn't try any of them on[wished I did--totally missed on that opportunity] I did observe and appreciated how the models showcased this new way of using space around their necks and wrists. It adds existence without the melodrama! Typically jewelry sits flat on us, not with these pieces--they give meaning to dimensional style. Perhaps as technology and fashion continue to fuse and evolve, we will see more creative ways in utilizing the space around us in terms of accessorizing. What do you think about this fashion forward style?
