There is something refreshing about looking back at the beginning of our journeys and also something inspiring because it makes us remember why we do what what we do. Almost like a refocus of agenda! Lebanese designer who started making clothes for his sisters at the age of 9 and opened this couture atelier at the age of 18, Elie Saab regresses to the 90's as a designer and takes inspiration from his works for his Autumn/Winter 2015-16 haute couture show. This is actually spectacular on many different levels as social media was less prevalent around that time. It allows us to see a hint of old-school glamour and an Elie Saab, probably unknown for some of us and take on his early energy towards women.
Looking back at his earlier collections along with this current show confirms in colorful, gold adorned and embroidered motifs that Elie Saab is among the blueprint of elegance. It speaks to us in abundance of his message for all women. A message we tend to forget at times--that we all stand in our light. A tribute admiration from Elie Saab towards the woman and her femininity--makings his creations magnifiers of it. This collection comes to reminds of that! To embrace our own silhouettes and celebrate our own individualized power that we hold within--clothes are merely an extension. It will be exciting to see who of our favorite stars will be wearing these dreamy flowy gowns. For sure, we are to take inspiration on the golden tiaras, as we are the queens of our own world.
